Monologue Audition

Not for beginning actors.

The Monologue Audition class is designed solely for the preparation of monologue audition material. This class is for actors who are actively auditioning and in need of audition material to show agents, casting directors, and/or theatre companies. The three basic areas covered are:

THE CHOICE - how and where to find appropriate material that is suited to your uniqueness and castability.
THE CLASS - an approach that helps you to work as both actor and director to effectively mount and execute the choice to best demonstrate your skills.
THE AUDITION - a realistic understanding of the audition process, and mastery of the dynamics involved with a variety of audition situations.

Audition choices will be presented in a mock audition situation in front of an invited industry casting director, agent or manager at the end of the session for their professional feedback.

This class requires applicant to submit their acting headshot/resume along with their application and must have sufficient acting skill and knowledge as how to properly approach a monologue. THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR A BEGINNING ACTOR.

This class is a required class in The Acting Conservatory Program and a prerequisite of the Performance Workshop Industry Showcase graduation project.
