Scene Study - Rehearsal Technique

Term: 8 weeks minimum

Limited to 12 students.

Scene Study - Rehearsal Technique offers the actor on-going practice on his/her craft through a hybrid Meisner-based approach to scene study, rehearsal techniques and the occasional monologue work. The class meets once a week and focuses on the analysis of the text and on how to apply the actor’s technique to the rehearsal process in building a performance. This acting class allows the actor to work on challenging parts in a safe environment. The actor is often encouraged to bring the work to performance level for possible inclusion in Chelsea Rep Lab evenings and Studio open class forums.
