After a 15 year absence, Mr. Price will return to teach in actors in Cairo, Egypt.
There will be two seperate workshop classes: Meisner Acting Technique; Level1 and Scene Study / Rehearsal Technique.

Mr. Price will return to Rome this Spring to conduct two classes in SCENE STUDY / REHEARSAL TECHNIQUE, (Morning & Afternoon sessions)
This Spring marks our 9th trip to Italy.

SCENE STUDY / REHEARSAL TECHNIQUE: April 27-May 2, 2025
The 6-Day Scene Study/Rehearsal Technique course offers two classes, either in the morning or afternoon, with each session lasting 4 hours. This course is taught by James Price, the founding Studio director and a protege and personal friend of Sanford Meisner. Mr. Price's Scene Study - Rehearsal Technique class is a hybrid Meisner-based approach to scene study, providing 24 hours of instruction. The class focuses on text analysis and applying the actor's technique to the rehearsal process, ultimately building a performance.

6-DAY MASTER CLASS in MEISNER TECHNIQUE; LEVEL 1 is an exciting and intensive program designed to immerse students in Sanford Meisner's renowned system of training actors. Over the course of six days, you'll embark on a transformative journey, developing essential acting skills through a carefully structured progression of exercises, just as Mr. Meisner intended.

This master class emphasizes the art of living truthfully in the moment, under imaginary circumstances. You'll start with the foundational word repetition exercise, which lays the groundwork for authentic improvisation and line memorization techniques. As you advance, you'll apply everything you've learned to scripted text, bringing characters to life with newfound depth and authenticity.

Join us for this immersive experience and unlock your potential as an actor. Classes meet over six days, providing an intensive and rewarding exploration of the Meisner Technique.

(Requires Level 1 skills developed in prior bonafide training in the Meisner technique)
6-DAY MASTER CLASS in MEISNER TECHNIQUE is an intensive, 6-day class that concentrates on introducing students to Sanford Meisner's system of training actors in their development of basic acting skills. This master class follows the same step-by-step progression of exercises as taught by Mr. Meisner, and based in his acting principles that will promote developing the actor's ability to live organically, moment by moment, under imaginary circumstances. This class covers the beginning Meisner lessons from word repetition and its application to building an improvisation exercise and then its final application to a scripted text. These classes are taught in English by master instructor James Price with simultaneous translation in Italian for those who need it. We are offering two classes, in morning or afternoon, 4-hour sessions.

MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED

Full tuition Merit Scholarships are awarded at the end of these sessions to the six most deserving students. These scholarships allow them to participate in six or ten-week acting programs at The Acting Studio - New York. The scholarships are valid for two years. Additionally, all participants receive a 30% discount on all classes offered at The Acting Studio - New York.
